Obyczajowość żołnierska w perspektywie mikrosocjologicznej

The article presents a suggestion to consider soldiers’ habits phenomena in a microsociological dimension. It is promising to look at the structure of “the red code” (the most common way of informal soldier consolidation) as a peculiar social and cultural institution regulating the conscripts’ behaviour. In such an approach, a military subunit as a social group undergoes theoretical and empirical analysis. The specific character of this group functioning consists in the fact that one community members are influenced by two behaviour control centres: the formal and informal ones. These soldiers who, decide to follow „the red code” during their military service, on the one hand subordinate to formal - organisational regulations, on the other, however, informal „red code” rules.
