Tunele wieloprzewodowe : historia czy przyszłość?

Od ponad 100 lat tunele wieloprzewodowe są z powodzeniem eksploatowane w wielu krajach. W Polsce jest to nadal zjawisko bardzo rzadkie, dlatego wymaga konstruktywnych dyskusji i działań. Bez wątpienia stoimy przed koniecznością szerszego wykorzystania przestrzeni podziemnej w naszych miastach, a właśnie takie budowle mogłyby rozwiązać wiele problemów związanych z instalowaniem przewodów różnego typu.

For over 100 years, multi-conduit tunnels have been used successfully in many countries. In Poland, this is still a very rare occurrence, and this is why the matter requires constructive discussion and action. Without a doubt, we stand before the necessity of broader utilization of the underground space in our cities, and structures such as this could solve many problems related to the installation of various types of conduits. Among other things, the author describes the first multi-conduit tunnel in our country, which was built in Wroclaw. The structure was treated as an experimental building, and it was decided that the following would be placed inside of it: water lines, heating network conduits, gas lines, electrical cables, and telecommunications cables. The tunnel was to make it possible to obtain a full picture of the operation of these networks under new conditions of their layout and to give information making it possible to compare the operating costs of networks built conventionally (directly in the ground) with the operating costs of networks laid down in multi-conduit tunnels.
