Podjęto próbę zdefiniowania pojęcia sieci SN „Smart Grid”, na podstawie aktualnych wymagań sektora dystrybucji energii elektrycznej, oraz prezentację praktycznych rozwiązań systemowych. Jednocześnie opisano wyzwania stojące przed siecią dystrybucyjną i jej „architektami” w przyszłości.

An attempt is made to define the „Smart Grid” notion basing on the distribution sector current requirements as well as to present practical system solutions. Described are also challenges for distribution networks and their „architects” in the future.
