Improved DSR Routing Protocol Performance using Intelligent Mobile Agent

Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a special wireless network that has the advantage of operating independently of fixed network infrastructure, cheap cost, quick deployment, and high mobility. In this study, the research team controls the DSR routing protocol in the network using a mobile agent that moves from one network node to another in order to improve the performance of MANET. The research team assessed the efficacy of the use of agent technology in the DSR procedure by NS2 simulation software version 2.34. The results of the experiment demonstrate that the use of mobile agent technology enhances MANET performance.
