Terminal LNG : strategiczny element bezpieczeństwa energetycznego

Rozwój cywilizacji w dużym stopniu zależy od zaspokojenia zapotrzebowania na surowce energetyczne. Wśród nich ceniony jest zwłaszcza gaz ziemny. Surowiec ten nie wszędzie można dostarczyć rurociągami. Dogodną formą transportu się w znacznej odległości od odbiorcy. Autorka omawia problem nowo wybudowanego w Polsce terminalu LNG. Gazoport to jedna z kilku inwestycji istotnych dla bezpieczeństwa energetycznego kraju, stanowi bowiem ochronę przed szantażem gospodarczym, ostatnio często stosowanym przez Rosję jako największego eksportera głównych surowców energetycznych.

The civilization growth to a large extent depends on satisfying the need for energy raw materials. Natural gas in particular is considered valuable. However, natural gas pipelines cannot reach everywhere, therefore gas is also transported via sea routes, which allows for covering large distances from a provider to a receiver. The author discusses the problem of newly built LNG (liquefied natural gas) terminal. This is one of several investments essential for the energy security of Poland as it can protect our country against economic blackmail, as of recently often used by Russia being the greatest exporter of the main energy raw materials.
