Multifunctional reactors; a new application area of multiphase systems

Multifunctional reactors and their basic characterisation have been presented and discussed. Two types of these reactors, i.e. a gas-liquid solid cocurrent upflow packed bed bubble column reactor with evaporating solvent and a gas-liquid membrane reactor with helicoidal flow have been described in detail. Principle features of each of the mentioned reactors have been demonstrated and illustrated with the results of our own studies.
