Artykuł poświęcono problematyce umiejscowienia terminali intermodalnych w łańcuchach dostaw. Szczegółowo scharakteryzowano podstawowe elementy łańcucha dostaw oraz modele transportu ładunków. Dużo miejsca poświęcono zadaniom, jakie spełniają terminale intermodalne w procesach transportu ładunków. Przedstawiono także rozmieszczenie terminali intermodalnych w Polsce wraz z ich powierzchniami i zdolnościami przeładunkowymi.

The article addresses the issue of locating intermodal terminals in the supply chains. The basic elements of the supply chain and cargo transport models have been characterized. Much of the work has been done on intermodal terminals in freight transport. It also presents the location of intermodal terminals in Poland along with their areas and transshipment capacities.
