Nowe pojęcie strategii i polityki bezpieczeństwa Republiki Czeskiej
The contemporary development of security situation in Europe and the world depends on security threats. Global security threats nowadays include not only international terrorism, proliferation of conventional and unconventional (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) weapons and technology systems but also regional conflicts and international organized crime. The Czech Republic develops instruments to force its security interests on the national level and in active engagement within multilateral and bilateral relations. The authors of the article discuss the fundamentals of the Czech Republic’s security policy, notions used in the Czech Republics’ security policy area, updated security strategy of the state and analyse differences in the security strategy content from 1999 and 2011. Then relations between foreign policy and security policy are presented and institutional and economic frameworks of providing security are mentioned.
