Przemysł węgla kamiennego w Republice Południowej Afryki – stabilny segment sektora światowego

W artykule poddano analizie funkcjonowanie przemysłu węgla kamiennego w RPA w latach 1980÷2012. Zidentyfikowano główne uwarunkowania działalności producentów południowoafrykańskich. Przeanalizowano długookresowe tendencje pozyskiwania oraz zużycia węgla kamiennego w RPA. Ukazano zasadnicze zmiany geograficznej struktury eksportu węgla z RPA na tle konkurencji dostawców z Australii oraz Indonezji.

This paper analyzes the functioning of hard coal industry in the Republic of South Africa (RSA) in 1980-2012. The main activities of the South African producers were identified. The long-term trends of the exploitation and use of hard coal in the RSA were analyzed. Basic changes in the geographical structure of coal exports from the RSA in comparison with the Australian and Indonesian competitors were shown.
