Pomiary i badania ruchu drogowego, które są jednym z podstawowych działów inżynierii ruchu, powinny stanowić podstawę analiz i decyzji w planowaniu oraz projektowaniu rozwiązań drogowych, a także w zarządzaniu i organizacji ruchu drogowego. Artykuł jest poświęcony porównaniu funkcjonowania kilku wybranych skrzyżowań zlokalizowanych w okolicach Politechniki Śląskiej w Katowicach.

Road traffic measurements and analyses are one of the basic departments of the science known as traffic engineering. That is why they should be the basis for the decision making process in the planning and design of the infrastructure, the management and the organisation of road traffi c. This article is entitled: „The Analysis of Chosen Junctions in Katowice” and describes the comparison of the functioning of four crossroads, from the perspective of congestion and scenic structure.
