Usage of Wind Farms in Voltage and Reactive Power Control Based on the example of Dunowo Substation

The article describes a control system designed at the Institute of Power Engineering Gdańsk Division, which has been applied in Dunowo substation and nearby wind farms. Control systems use wind farms in the process of voltage and reactive power control. The device structure, rules of control and requirements described in the Instruction of Transmission System Operation and Maintenance (grid code) released by Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne Operator SA the Transmission System Operator in Poland are presented.

W artykule przedstawiono opracowany i zrealizowany przez Instytut Energetyki system regulacji napięć i mocy biernych dla węzła Dunowo, obejmujący stację elektroenergetyczną najwyższych napięć oraz dwie spośród wielu farm wiatrowych. Zaprezentowano aktualne wymagania OSP dotyczące regulacji napięcia z wykorzystaniem farm wiatrowych. Przedstawiono budowę i strukturę systemu, reguły działania jego składników, a także zasady koordynacji regulacji transformatorowej w stacji najwyższych napięć i generatorowej w farmach wiatrowych.
