Gospodarka wodno-ściekowa w szpitalach onkologicznych
W szpitalach, które używają radioizotopów do zastosowań diagnostycznych i terapeutycznych bezpieczne usuwanie odpadów radioaktywnych jest istotnym elementem ogólnego zarządzania jednostką. Bardzo ważne w postępowaniu z odpadami promieniotwórczymi jest zapewnienie takich warunków, aby osoby postronne, personel szpitala, a także pacjenci nie byli narażeni na promieniowanie przekraczające dopuszczalne limity. Szpitale muszą zatem zapewnić odpowiednią infrastrukturę i zasoby kadrowe, żeby sprostać wszystkim wymaganiom radiacyjnym zapisanym w Prawie atomowym. Istotnym przedsięwzięciem jest zatem odpowiednio zaplanowane, zaprojektowane, wykonane, obsługiwane i regularnie monitorowane rozwiązanie wodno-kanalizacyjne. W artykule przedstawiono możliwe sposoby postępowania z wodą i ze ściekami zawierającymi radioizotopy.
In hospitals that use radioisotopes for diagnostic and therapeutic applications, an important element of overall unit management is the safe disposal of radioactive waste. An important element in the management of radioactive waste is the provision of such conditions that third persons, hospital staff and patients are not exposed to radiation exceeding the acceptable limits. Hospitals must therefore provide adequate infrastructure and human resources to meet all the radiation requirements set forth in the Atomic Law. An important project is therefore a properly planned, designed, constructed, serviced and regularly monitored water and sewage solution. The article presents possible solutions for handling water and wastewater containing radioisotopes.
