Accuracy estimate of modeling of pitting corrosion using cellular automata
The influence of the number of cells belonging to neighborhood of the cellular automata on the fidelity of real physical processes on the example pitting corrosion simulation is shown in this paper. Investigated four variants of Von Neumann neighborhood of the 1st and 2nd order and Moore neighborhood of the 1st and 2nd order. Established that to obtain simulation results that would best consistent with the experimental, optimal choice environment with12cells, i.e. the second-order von Neumann neighborhood.
