A few notes on computer simulations and their applications in the mining industry

This paper attempts to bring closer the issues related to widely understood simulation and modeling. A definition of simulation and simulation model, as well as several examples of computer simulation applications for the mining industry, including simulation calculation methods, are presented. Moreover, emphasis was placed on the description of the structure and principles of building simulation models and evaluation of the simulation model, and the most important advantages and disadvantages of the simulation were presented.
