Experimental characteristics of adjustable vane diffuser

Investigation results of the adjustable vane diffuser applied in DA210 radial blower (made by H. Cegielski Works), have been presented in the paper. The main idea of such diffuser is the adjustable vane that makes the vane angle fit with inlet flow angle and the significant decrease of flow losses. The investigations have been performed for four vane set angles. The pressures in diffuser as well as the characteristics of whole stage have been also presented. Basing on investigation results, the main characteristics of the stage that means coefficient of losses and static pressure raise for various inflow angles and various vane adjustments, have been widely presented.
