Potencjalne problemy środowiskowe związane z eksploatacją niekonwencjonalnych złóż gazu ziemnego

W artykule, na tle krótkiej charakterystyki niekonwencjonalnych złóż węglowodorów gazowych, omówiono najistotniejsze problemy środowiskowe, mogące towarzyszyć ich eksploatacji. Zwrócono uwagę na specyfikę technologii pozyskiwania gazu, polegającą na powtarzanych operacjach szczelinowania górotworu, obarczoną równocześnie ryzykiem nadmiernej ingerencji w środowisko. Scharakteryzowano także możliwości zapobiegania negatywnemu oddziaływaniu prac na etapach rozpoznawania, przygotowania i eksploatacji złóż na: organizmy żywe, powierzchnię terenu, środowisko wód powierzchniowych i podziemnych oraz na atmosferę.

Against the background of a short characteristic of unconventional deposits of gaseous hydrocarbons the most essential environmental problems that can accompany their exploitation, are discussed. Attention is paid to the specificity of gas recovery technology, consisting in repeated rock mass fracturing operations, burdened simultaneously with excessive interference into the environment. Moreover, the possibilities of prevention of the negative impact of work at the stages of identification, preparation and exploitation of deposits on: living organisms, ground surface, environment of surface and underground waters as well as on the atmosphere are characterised.
