Artykuł ten daje ogólne spojrzenie na stan obecny współczesnych elektrochemicznych źródeł energii elektrycznej w zastosowaniach samochodowych. Przedstawiono różne typy ogniw i akumulatorów elektrochemicznych. Ogniwa paliwowe zostały uznane za najbardziej obiecujące do zastosowań samochodowych.

This paper provides an overview of present status of the contemporary electrochemical sources of electrical energy in the automotive applications. Different types of the electrochemical cells and batteries are presented. The fuel cells were chosen as the most promising for automotive applications.
