Thin film transmission spectra and vibrational intensities of liquid pyridine

Thin film transmission spectra of liquid pyridine were measured in the 3300-500 cm(-) region, using cells of thicknesses ranging from 1,4 micro m to 522 micro m. The spectrum of the absorption index was determined from these data in the Mid-IR range. Vitrational intensities and other spectral parameters were calculated from the k(v) spectrum. The assignment of numerous bands was carried out. The data were compared with results of recent DFT calculations of the infrared spectrum of pyridine.
