Education on the topic of sustainable consumption plays a meaningful role in the outreach of sustainable development principles. The customers’ behaviour may have a significant impact on the development and promotion of environmentally friendly production of commodities and their and selling. In practice however, sustainable consumption is a challenge for education as it cannot be limited to an individual–oriented environmental education but must represent an interdisciplinary approach to the issue going beyond a traditional educationsystem. Sustainable consumption requires specific information as a contemporary consumer living in a hectic pace of life has no time to search for and analyse available information.
