The possibilities of energy agriculture concerning development of power engineering, i.e. the production of electricity, heat and biogas, are presented. The essence of the innovation is determined taking into account its global, EU and national conditions. The potential of Polish energy agriculture and its implementation in the municipalities has been outlined. The benefits of the implementation and the conclusions are included.
