The modernisation of premises in a multifamily building is limited due to regulations resulting from the essence of the integrity of the equipment and installations in the building. The building manager and the user are not always aware of the existing restrictions in this respect, taking decisions that may sometimes threaten the safety of the use, and disturb the system operation in the premises and in the whole building. The paper discusses the rules on these issues including their technical aspects.
