W kierunku ISO 9001:2015
Released in 2008 (Polish version in 2009) a new edition of ISO 9001 was only cosmetic correction introducing small changes, the only detail and clarify some statements contained in the standard. So you can say that for 12 years (since 2000) was not greater correction of the ISO 9001 standard. At the same time in 2009 (Polish version of 2010) huge changes were made to the standard ISO 9004, which profoundly transformed the structure, goals, and issues presented in this standard. For this reason, it seems that there is a need for a larger, more comprehensive revision of ISO 9001, which taken into account the events that took place in the economy and the normalization process since 2000, and drew attention to some of the issues included in the new standard ISO 9004:2009. Another revision to the standard, which is planned for 2015, will be another significant revision, changing the structure of the standard, just as it was in 2000. These changes will go towards the inclusion of the concept of sustainable development, as has been implemented in ISO 9004:2009 to the content requirements of ISO 9001. Taking into account the requirements of today's turbulent economy, it seems that the proposed changes arę going in the right direction and will help to significantly improve the standard and the process of its implementation.
