Intensive certification of quality management systems based on ISO 9001 can be effective provided that the increase in the number of certificates issued will be not accompanied by a decline in service quality certification. There is in the paper the analyzes of the research's results conducted among customers of one of the polish certification firms. These studies were conducted to identify factors affecting the quality of service certification and to examine the quality of services.
