Daje pracę wielu mieszkańcom Łęcznej, Chełma, Lublina i innych miejscowości. After thirty years, that have passed since 1975 when the state own enterprise was founded named "Mines of Lublin Coalfield under construction" a strong company is functioning called Lublin Coal "Bogdanka" SA. It provides work for many inhabitants of Łęczna, Chełm, Lublin and other settlements. The article presents, besides, historical facts, organisational changes and restructuring of the mines, production volume and position on coal market, experiences with regard to privatisation and strong settlement in the region as well as development plans.
