Condensation of refrigerant R-404A in a tubular channel

Experimental investigations of the process of condensation of refrigerant R404A in a coil tube channel have been carried out. The paper describes the experimental facility and the results of investigations. Experimental values of the mean heat transfer coefficient as well as local heat transfer coefficient in the two-phase zone in a coil tube channel have been obtained and compared with correlations of other authors available in the literature. The experimental data for the local heat transfer coefficient in the condensation zone are found to be in a good agreement with the correlation of Shah.
