Zarys historii i przyszłości węgla brunatnego w Polsce

W artykule przedstawiono historię branży węgla brunatnego w Polsce, tj. początki rozwoju wydobycia w okresie sprzed 1945 r., w okresie powojennym i w okresie znacznego rozwoju w latach 70. i 80. ubiegłego stulecia oraz stan obecny. Omówiono również możliwości rozwoju wydobycia węgla brunatnego oraz produkcji z niego energii elektrycznej, paliw płynnych i gazowych w I połowie XXI w.

The history of brown coal industry in Poland is presented including the beginnings of exploitation in the period before 1945, the period after the Second World War and the period of significant output growth in the 70s and 80s of the 20th century, as well as the present condition. The prospects of output development and production of electric energy, liquid and gas fuels from brown coal in the first half of 21st century are also discussed.
