Jedną z istotnych czynności podczas badania przyczyn wypadków kolejowych jest przeprowadzenie oględzin miejsca zdarzenia i sporządzenie dokumentacji fotograficznej. Na tym etapie prac komisji wypadkowej, potrzebna jest szczególna wiedza z zakresu budowy i diagnostyki dróg kolejowych oraz fotografii. Błędy popełnione w czasie dokumentowania śladów wypadku, stanu pojazdu szynowego i stanu nawierzchni szynowej mogą w przyszłości prowadzić do trudności w ustaleniu przyczyny wypadku. W artykule omówiono podstawowe zasady sporządzania dokumentacji fotograficznej w czasie oględzin miejsca zdarzenia na podstawie własnych doświadczeń.

One of the important steps in the investigation of rail accidents is to inspect the scene of the incident and to provide photographic documentation. At this stage of the accident, is needed a special knowledge of the construction of railways and diagnostics, as well as photography. Errors committed during documenting traces of the accident, the state of the rail vehicle and rail surface condition in the future may lead to difficulties in determining the cause of the accident. The article discusses the basic principles of the reason photographic documentation preparing process during the inspection of the scene on the base on of the actions own experiences.
