Jak funkcjonuje przestrzeń społeczna w środowisku mieszkaniowym? Studium przypadku z Gliwic

Artykuł przedstawia relacje jakie zachodzą pomiędzy mieszkańcami bloków i budynków wielorodzinnych w Polsce a ich najbliższym otoczeniem. Porusza problemy dotyczące użytkowania przestrzeni publicznych, półpublicznych w miejscu zamieszkania. Podejmuje próbę rozpoznania problemów wynikających w czasie użytkowania, wskazuje zarówno pozytywne, jak i negatywne zjawiska. Okazuje się bowiem często, że przestrzeń, pomimo iż projektowana z myślą o mieszkańcach, nie jest miejscem przyjaznym.

This paper presents relationships and interactions between habitants of Multiple Family Housing Units and their surrounding spaces. It reviews the problems regarding the usage of public and semi -public spaces in the neighborhoods. The article attempts to recognize existing issues and monitors the changes that are being made. It also shows the positive and negative results. In this example, we show reasoning for improvements, the impact that it has on the environment, and how tenants are using them. Because space designed with habitants in mind often turns out to be space unfriendly.
