Physical variations in the surface layer of rings in rolling bearings after burnishing and rolling friction.

The results of the research on the influence of chosen diamond sliding burnishing parameters on some physical properties of the surface layer of roller race NU 206 type have been presented. The measurements of values and gradient of internal macrostresses have been carried out using the X-ray method with a small penetration depth CuK(alpha) radiation. It has been stated that the increase in force beyond the critical value during burnishing causes significant decrease in value of compressive macrostresses for several micrometers deep inside material.

Przedstawiono wyniki badań wpływu wybranych parametrów nagniatania ślizgowego diamentem na zmianę niektórych własności fizykalnych w warstwie wierzchniej bieżni pierścieni łożysk walcowych typu NU 206. Pomiary wartości i gradientu makronaprężeń własnych przeprowadzono metodą rentgnograficzną stosując płytko wnikające promianiowanie CuK(alfa). Z badań wynika, że przekroczenia krytycznej siły docisku przy nagniataniu powoduje znaczny spadek wartości makronaprężeń ściskających na głębokości do kilkunastu mikrometrów w głąb materiału.
