Recrystallization of a cold-rolled Ni-25%Mo-8%Cr alloy.
Structural investigation and texture measurements were conducted on a cold-rolled Ni-25%Mo-8%Cr alloy subjected to recrystallization. Prior to rolling, the examined material was in three different conditions: as-solution treated, aged at 650 degrees centigrade and aged at 710 degrees centigrade conditions. Aged samples contained precipitates of the long range ordered Ni2(Mo,Cr) phase which size depend strongly on aging temperature. The applied deformations were 20, 40, 60 and 80% . Recrystallization annealing was carried out at temperature range of 750 degrees centigrade - 950 degrees centigrade for 1 hour. The presence of the ordered particle in the deformed state hampered recrystallization. The recrystallization texture was much weaker than the deformation one but retained its main features.
