Progress of information technology is causing tourists to get used to easier and quicker access to current information. The Internet is becoming the base of this habit. Currently, no company, including the ones operating in the tourist trade, can not allow itself not to have a web site because it could lead to the loss of customers. Just a few years ago, possession of a webpage was a proof of modernity of a company and helped to create advantage over other competitors. Currently, this type of activity is being treated as a natural stage of the company development. Owners of tourist companies, including management personnel, are showing understanding but also determination in the usage of modern information technologies to develop ac-tivity of their companies. However, possessing a web page and access to the Internet network is merely the preliminary stage of running e-commerce. The article presents the analysis and estimation of the usage of a web-page as a tool for shaping competitive advantage. The work results are based on poll examinations.
