Result of investigation on optimization of the working of a coherent medium. The power-saving trajectories of the cutting tool were obtained with the aid of a digital control system ensuring automatic guiding of the tool along a slip line. The relevant examinations were carried out under flat working conditions and for the case of a sidewall shovel using test stations ensuring kinematics for accessories of loading and pull-shovel types.
