Przedstawiono możliwości, jakie daje zastosowanie technik szybkiego prototypowania, omówiono podstawy procesu rapid prototyping oraz podano obszary zastosowania tych metod, a także ich główne zalety i wady. W zamieszczonej w pracy tabeli zestawiono najczęściej stosowane techniki rapid prototyping z podaniem nazwy i krótkiej charakterystyki procesu.

Possibilities of rapid prototyping methods were presented as well as backgrounds of rapid prototyping process. Areas of application of rapid prototyping processes and their principal advantages and disadvantages were presented. In the table inserted in the paper, statement of rapid prototyping methods with the name of method and short description were presented.
