Optymalizacja alternatywnej techniki rejestracji obrazu tablic rejestracyjnych dla Inteligentnych Systemów Transportowych

Tablice rejestracyjne wykorzystywane są w Inteligentnych Systemach Transportowych (ITS) do identyfikacji pojazdów zarówno nieruchomych, jak i znajdujących się w ruchu, dla których występują utrudnienia związane ze zjawiskami takimi jak np. głębia ostrości, rozmycie ruchu itp. Przedstawiamy proces optymalizacji kąta nachylenia kamery, umożliwiającego poprawę jakości obrazu cyfr i liter (stanowiącego źródło danych dla algorytmów rozpoznawania znaków), będących istotnym składnikiem każdego numeru tablicy rejestracyjnej pojazdu.

The article examines the impact of camera's rotation acquiring the image sequence on the legibility of vehicle's license registration plate images obtained using the super-resolution algorithm. Obtained image is used in some further steps of the recognition process but the final results is strongly dependent on the quality of the input image, especially for the low resolution of the acquired sequence of images.
