W prezentowanym opracowaniu przedstawiono wykorzystanie metody elementów skończonych (MES) jako narzędzia do symulacji tworzenia wióra ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem oporów skrawania.
In the paper modeling of chip formation process with the aid of Finite Element Method (FEM) is shown. A main goal of the simulation is calculating cutting forces acting on the tool. The paper contains a complete procedure of cutting simulation: selection of the boundary conditions, material properties, material models etc. At the end of the paper are shown results of simulation as a graph of cutting forces.
