Zagrożenia trwałości budowli piętrzących odrzańskiej drogi wodnej, wynikające z procesów starzenia

The paper presents the technical state condition of the river barrages constructed on the channelyzed part of the Oder on Lover Silesia, the opinion about typical complex concrete dams, sluice, and embankments. The influence of the different building technology used since 1850 - the years, before and after the second world war, and to the end XX century on state, stability and durability was presented too. The older embankments and slopes were not compacted. In these cases, the phenomena of soils suffusions and piping caused damaged their construction. Author described the influence of concrete corrosion on the damages of building structures, and also destructive action of frost at water - soluble calcium compounds.
