Gospodarka odpadami komunalnymi w aspekcie zrównoważonego rozwoju w podregionie ostrolęcko-siedleckim

Celem pracy było przybliżenie zagadnień, dotyczących gospodarki odpadami komunalnymi w aspekcie zrównoważonego rozwoju, w podregionie ostrołęcko-siedleckim do roku 2013. Opracowano statystycznie dane, uzyskane z Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego. Uwzględniono także aspekty gospodarki odpadami w Polsce w świetle wymogów Unii Europejskiej. Z analizy danych wynika, że pozostaje wiele do zrobienia w podregionie ostrołęcko-siedleckim, w celu poprawy gospodarki odpadami komunalnymi, aby spełniać wymogi UE. Problem ten dotyczy również całej Polski . Integracja z Unią Europejską stworzyła dodatkowe wymogi, dotyczące gospodarki odpadami, lecz przeznaczone fundusze strukturalne są niewielkie. Aby spełnić wymogi UE dotyczące gospodarki odpadami i uniknąć wysokich kar, konieczne jest zaangażowanie kapitału prywatnego.

The aim of this thesis is familiarizing with the issues relating to municipal waste management in the Ostrołęka and Siedlce sub-region by the year 2013. Some aspects of sustainable development have been taken into account in the context of waste management. A statistical analysis of data obtained from the Central Statistical Office (GUS) has been drawn up. Also, the issue of waste management in Poland was considered in the light of the European Union requirements. The analysis of this data shows that there is still much to be done in the Ostrołęka and Siedlce sub-region in order to improve municipal waste management so that it meets the EU requirements. This problem refers to Poland as a whole as well. Integration with the European Union has created additional requirements in the scope of waste management, but structural funds allotted to that purpose are scarce. In order to meet the EU requirements in the field of waste management and avoid high fines, it is necessary to engage private capital.
