Contribution to evaluation of influence of structure directionality on fatigue properties of AlMg alloy EN AW 7075

The paper summarizes experimental results of measurements of basic fatigue properties of the AlMg alloy EN AW 7075/T6 which was produced by technology of hot extrusion. This materiál displays a visible directionality of the structure in consequence of the used manufacturing (Fig.l) and so varied mechanical characteristics in different directions should be supposed [1, 2]. Before all the results of high cyclic fatigue tests, which were implemented at condition of four point bending loading, will be presented and commented. Mechanical tests were completed by metallographic and fractographic observations.
