Experimental and Hybrid Analysis of Local Strain and Storess Distributions in Fatigue Loading Conditions

The paper shows the problem of local strain and stress analysis in fatigue loading conditions. Stress and strain concentration, which consequence is appearing of local plastic strain zones, is one of the causes in initiation and growth of fatigue cracks. Thus, analysis of connections between stress and strain state and fatigue process is one of the main tasks of the fatigue structure analysis. Difficulties in modelling of fatigue behaviour of structure cause, that experimental methods are an essential tool in the effective fatigue analysis of different technical objects. ln the paper examples of experimental and hybrid (experimental numerical) analysis of strain and stress distributions in geometrical discontinuities and material heterogeneities of structural parts in fatigue loading conditions were presented.
