Hazard analysis in a selected technical system

The assessment of safety constitutes the fundamental phase of works what concerns tactics of safety management and is based upon valuing the hazard in the being considered system of machine exploitation or in system functioning. Hazard analysis permits to recognize in the system threats resulting from the exploitation of that system, to determine the mechanism of threats appearance, of the degree, size, frequency and consequences of threats [1, 2, 4, 5, 9]. The necessity of developing a program uf hazard management is recommended first of all for systems/ arrangements with a great degree of complexity or systems being characterized by a particular degree of predictable threat. For instance, during the exploitation of complex machine systems many threats can arise with various significances. A classification of these threats according to accepted criteria can be the basis for their acceptance or rejection and, in the following phase, for undertaking correcting actions. In this article hazard analysis is presented on. the basis of a database concerning undesirable events, the database being a part of the documentation of a unit of State Fire Brigade (SFB) in a great town, capital of province.
