Utilisation of wind energy in Poland for electricity production : state-of-the-art and perspectives

In the paper the development of wind farms in Europe and Poland has been shown, pointing the fact that the assessment has been made on the basis of data regarding installed power in recent years, with particular focus on the years 2001-2002. With regard to the territory of Poland presented has been data regarding the wind farms commissioned in the years 1991-2002, showing their distribution around Poland. Presented have also been the prognosis of the increase of wind energy utilization in the scale of the entire country.
