Example of utilisation of geothermal energy in heating systems with heat pumps cooperating with vertical heat ground exchangers

An interesting project in Poland in the area of implementation of heat pumps for heating purposes was modernisation of heating installations of selected dwellings administrated by army. Actions taken encompassed a pilot project of installation of hear pumps to replace existing coal fired boilers. The present work describes die scope and the way in which modernisation of 22 objects took place as well as it presents general conclusions stemming from the one year period of their exploitation.
