Power loss analysis in transformer supplied with high-frequency voltage impulses

In the paper an algorithm for power loss determination in transformers supplied with high-frequency voltage impulses using a field-circuit model was described. The software based on the algorithm was used to calculate losses and determine efficiency of a pulse transformer. Power losses and efficiency of a pulse transformer for different load resistances, input signal shapes and lengths of the central leg of the core were analysed. Selected results of simulations were shown.
