Calculating distribution of magnetic field induction in vacuum interrupter contacts
The article presents a method and exemplary calculation results of magnetic field induction generated on contacts of vacuum interrupters. The authors determined three vector components of this field: axial component (z). circumferential component (y), and radial component (x) by means of the Biot and Savart law. The authors' simple programme PoMS was used for the calculations. It enables fast evaluation of the influence of some geometrical parameters in the contact design on generated magnetic field.
