Zagadnienie wykorzystania osadów ściekowych jako substytutu paliwa w piecach rusztowych

The paper analyses the possibly usage of energy from burning municipal sewage sludge in energy balance of Poland. The use of sewage sludge in grate furnaces as fuel substitute requires their previous agglomeration. For this reason the laboratory research of compaction process have been undertaken at the AGH University of Science and Technology. The research was aimed to work out the technology of briquetting of sewage sludge with additives.
