Identyfikacja przestrzeni publicznych osiedla Winogrady

In that part of the workshop the students were to deal with the ąuestion of the revitali-zation process in the public space of the following housing estates: Pod Lipami and Przyjaźni. In the projects, the students focused mainly on the aspects of the rearrangement of the green areas. That was done so as to create public, semi-public and semi-private green zones with the new playgrounds for children and the places for adult and youth people to meet in the spare time. According to this, the idea of building the underground garages in order to widen the surface of green areas emerged. The garages were designed so as to use the natural lie. That was significant to take better advantage of the green areas in the urban structure of the whole examined area and in the space among buildings as well. The fresh and innovative approach to the problems of the Winogrady green areas helped the students to fmd the interesting and well-defmed solutions.
