Impact of dimming on photoelectrical parameters of lamps

Electronic drivers for lamps very often are equipped with dimming features. It refers to both external ballasts for non integrated lamps (fluorescent and LED) and those integrated in compact energy saving lamps. It has to be taken into account that except for reducing light output dimming changes also other parameters of lamps which do not always change in line with luminous flux. This article summarizes influence of dimming on chosen photoelectric characteristic in typically used household lamps.
