Optymalny wybór silników niskiego napięcia
Three phase low voltage induction squirrel cage motor should be regarded as a cheap product. Its purchase price balances its running cost in 2-3 months when operating continuously at or near full load. In the paper a method of evaluation of the total cost of induction motors for their users (purchase cost and running costs) is presented. Cost calculation examples for standard and high efficiency series of induction motors ranging 0.75 through 160 kW are given. The problem of "repair or replace" is evaluated for the examples of 22, 75, and 160 kW, 2p=4 low voltage induction motors. A comparison of efficiency levels of standard motors (polish series Sg) and energy efficient motors (polish series SEE) regarding to European CEMEP classifications is given.
