Determination of effect of conveyor belt loop length on loop time

A new approach to belt operating time distribution and the results if the research presented in papers [1, 3, 4] made it possible to analyse the effect of the length of the belt in its operating time. Formulas for the mean value and the variance of belt operating time versus belt section length were deduced. Empirical research did not corroborate the effect of section lengths shorter than the standard ones (250-300 m). But such an effect was established for heterogeneous belt consisting of many belt section with different past operating times. On the basis of the obtained results mean up times for heterogeneous belt loops for conveyors of different lengths can be forecasted.

Nowe spojrzenie na rozkład czasu pracy taśm przenośnikowych i wyniki zaprezentowane w pracach [1,3,4] umożliwiają analizę wpływu długości taśmy na czas jej pracy. Wprowadzono wzory na wartość średnią i wariancję czasu pracy taśmy w funkcji długości jej odcinka. Badania empiryczne nie potwierdziły wpływu długości odcinków krótszych od standardowych (250-300m). Wykazano jednak taki wpływ dla niejednorodnej pętli złożonej z wielu odcinków taśm o różnych dotychczasowych czasach pracy. Uzyskane wyniki mogą być wykorzystane do prognozowania średnich czasów zdatności niejednorodnych pętli taśm dla przenośników o różnej długości.
