Diagnosis of the C.I. Engine combustion process

Diagnosis of the combustion process of a C.I. engine can base an indirect set of diagnostic parameters of cylinder pressure p=f(?) that is the indicator diagram. It allows to determine such derivatives of the combustion process as: rate of pressure rise (giving evidence of engine 'hard' work), maximal cylinder pressure at fuelling the engine with various fuels, burning out ratios of 10%and 90%of the fuel charge, begin and end of the combustion process fuel combustion velocity, course of heat release, total time of fuel combustion. The paper presents the results of investigation on diagnosis of the combustion process of an indirect injection diesel engine 4C 90.
